NIO's First Third-generation Swap Station in Europe Went Online

According to reports, NIO's first third-generation replacement power station in Europe is located in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, on the east coast of Sweden, bordering the Baltic Sea. The station is also the 6th substation in Sweden and the 25th in Europe.

NIO said that it will continue to accelerate the layout of charging and swapping facilities in Europe, so that European users can enjoy a convenient power-up experience.

It is reported that NIO's third-generation replacement station will be officially released on NIO Day in 2022. Compared with the second generation of power stations, the third-generation replacement power station has been greatly improved in intelligence and work efficiency.

The third-generation swap station will adopt a new three-station collaborative power exchange mode to further shorten the flow path of the battery and shorten the power exchange time by 20%; The battery position will be increased from the original 13 to 21, and the service capacity of the single-day site will reach 408 times, increasing the service capacity by 30%; The addition of self-developed HPC bidirectional high-power liquid-cooled power supply module increases the charge and discharge power to 62.5kW, and the highest efficiency reaches 98%.

The 500kW ultra-fast charging pile has a maximum current of 660A and a maximum voltage of 1000V; Self-developed ultra-light liquid-cooled gun line, the weight is less than half of the traditional gun line, and it can be easily operated with one hand; Support code scanning and NFC card charging, which is convenient for European users to use habits.

As of August 17, NIO has deployed 25 substations in Europe, including 10 charging stations, 33 charging piles, and 500,000+ tripartite piles, providing users with a rechargeable, exchangeable and upgradable energy service experience, making powering up more convenient than refueling.

It is also worth mentioning that according to public information, as of July 30 this year, the total number of NIO exchange stations in the country reached 1,609, including 440 high-speed exchange stations, 2,867 charging stations, 16,954 charging piles, and 760,000+ tripartite piles, covering all provincial-level administrative regions and 225 prefecture-level cities in the mainland.
