The reporter learned from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers that this morning, China's annual output of new energy vehicles exceeded 10 million for the first time, and it is also the world's first country with an annual output of 10 million new energy vehicles.

Statistics show that 2013 was the first year that China's new energy vehicle production and sales were included in the statistical system, and the output of that year was only 18,000 units. In 2018, the annual production reached the million level, and then in 2022, the annual production reached more than 5 million vehicles, until today, the milestone of 10 million vehicles was exceeded for the first time, and in a month and a half before the end of the year, it increased by 4.3% compared with the production of 9.587 million vehicles for the whole of last year. Experts expect this number to exceed 12 million by the end of the year.

In the past ten years, under the guidance of the national strategy, nearly 100 encouraging policies have been introduced, product technology has been continuously updated and iterated, and infrastructure support has been gradually improved, jointly promoting China's new energy vehicle industry to achieve leapfrog development, from marketization and industrialization to scale and globalization, and constantly move to a higher level. In the future, China's new energy vehicle industry will not only achieve a leap in quantity, but also continue to make breakthroughs in quality, and contribute more to the global new energy industry.
