RFID cards are typically the same size as credit cards and contain a passive identifier that can be read by a receiver built into the device – in this case, it refers to an electric vehicle charging point.
It doesn't need a battery and doesn't "run out" like the chips in bank cards.
The card can be programmed with the identity of one person or with generic details that apply to a group of people. That's why they're perfect for EV charging. Users can activate the function by simply swiping the card or near the receiver on the EV charger.
