May 17, 2023
How many kilowatts is the household car charging station? The commonly used power of household car charging stations is generally 7 kW AC slow charging, 20 kW and 30 kW DC fast charging. If it is used at home and still open to the public, a 60 kW household car charging station is generally used. According to installation classification, the 7 kW, 20 kW, and 30 kW household car charging stations can be divided into three types: wall mounted, column mounted, and vertical. You can choose the appropriate installation method according to your different needs.
The demand for power distribution is not very high for the 7-kilowatt AC slow charging of household car charging stations. A 220V household power supply can be connected and used, and it takes about 5-8 hours to fully charge. Based on the size of the car's battery capacity, the vehicle is usually parked directly after returning home from work at night, and there is no delay in use the next day after charging. However, household car charging stations with 20kW and 30kW DC fast charging require a 380V three-phase power input, and the charging time is generally 1-2 hours to fully charge.
